LOL, no I don't think that's necessary... the Chev belonged to my parents who purchased it from our local fuel delivery guy - he'd had it since new.

Here's a pic of it around 1980. It's been in a barn for many years now.

Oh, it's a orphan adopted by the family. In that case I'll give you benefit of the doubt. . . . ;)

Nice looking truck Keith :thup2:
If you need a spare I can find out the owner to this other one

After an extremely hot day in the shed last monday I decided to address the temperature problem by finding a old swampy Air conditioner ,repairing it to operational status and making a mobile frame.Works a treat :thup2:

andrew it is for sure, this is a welbike container used to drop welbikes to the airborne troops. I eager to know what you going to do with it, restoring or..
I am collecting airborne stuff for some 29 years now and have some containers my self. if you ever want to sell... maybe you want to think of me.
the parachute is attaced to the rings on the righthand side and on the other side there was a sort of cussion to soften the landing of the container on the ground. (see my pictures)
hope this helps.
cheers jaap

Looks like a 1954 or 55 86" model .. the front wings have the two piece panels.. It could also be a 88" , 1956 to 58 .. hard to tell..
