Very well done Petr! You might be the only one in the world, manufacturer? :salute:

Thanks for your kind words Lynn! I must mention that I couldnt do it without detailed info from Michael R. :salute:
Yes, its something like this, I started to mark my repro parts with proper TL numbers but this fake manufacturer code some time ago |

Genius work Petr, such craftsmanship! I've just been trying to make a couple of small metal straps for my Mk1 cooker bracket, which has just further emphasised the skill involved in making something as complex as your mudguards. Complete respect to you!!! :salute:

Thank you very much Tom! I wish I had more time for such work, its great relax for me even Im swearing a lot during it :D

Life keeps me busy, so here is just couple of pics from current (I mean 2022 :)) events over here in CZ. At least it was fun after all this work.

Apart from the need for a wheel change, looking good Petr.

Just a little side project regarding WS19 set installation. This junction box deserved slight refubrishment.

Amazing! How did you recreate the little writing? Is it a transfer? Do tell! Ron

Thank you Ron! Yes, they are water decals (I hope its right word for it) as on the original. I made them in Photoshop and printed on the special paper.
|
Cracking work Petr.
I was going to make something similar to do the pressings, will also work for pressing the lids in the boxes over the mk2* fuel tanks and floor bins. |

Thanks Richard!
Just finished adapter and strap for No.25 carrier, all fit nicely. Time to start work on the carrier itself. If anyone would have details or pics of this particular carrier, Im very interested. Also looking for pair of mountings if anyone has spare. |
Quote:
That adapter is very nicely done, is there any chance you could make me one? (I have all the other bits for my setup.) I thought you had a (somewhat butchered) Carrier No.25, with the mounting rails sawn off? (There were photographs in another thread at some point.) I have an uncut Carrier No.25, with a WS19 setup on it, and have a week off (but Christmas presents to post), so will take some photographs of the various parts and find my vernier caliper in case you need detailed measurements. The "Mountings, Carrier" shown in that drawing from Wireless for the Warrior are the post-WW2 ones (with Barry Mounts as used for the Larkspur radios instead of the "Shock absorber, bridge type" from WW2), and I think you need the earlier version for the Universal Carrier. I may have a single spare one that can be used as a pattern. Best regards, Chris. p.s. I'll post more when it's not 0130Z and I should be asleep. :D |
Hi Chris, thanks Im glad you like it!
Surely I can make one more. Unfortunately i dont have any No.25 carrier, these pics were from the net. Pictures and dimensions will be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance, looking forward to it! |

And top plate. Getting there :)
|
Petr, what did you use for the wireless set canvas straps? Was that made from folded and stitched canvas? Are they originals perhaps?
|
Hello Bruce, yes, they are folded and stitched canvas. Not original, but very close in appearance and size. They are from postwar stretcher bearer auxiliary straps.

My WS setup almost done, now it needs to be installed into the carrier.
Next step is battery bin and B set aerial. Would be anyone willing to send some pictures of the bin details, please? Preferably british made. Many thanks in advance :note: |

Would be anyone so kind and measure for me basic dimensions of the protective cage for the No.9 aerial, please?
I know there are many replicas but not sure about theirs authenticity either in design neither in sizes. I believe there are again some differencies between the manufacturers, possibly also between Brit/Can types. I like this one - made from D shaped rod, hopefuly UK made. Thanks a lot! |

Found some pics of CZ carriers with cages made (very propably) from D shaped bars and with two retaining clamps, so here it is.
