Ian..
CMP's and ROT(Rusty Old Truckers)er's are gender insensitive...
There is no initiation or qualifying test and all are welcome at our gather up's which are generally a precursor to following gather ups..of bigger and better proportions..The more the merrier..
Anyway ..it is Wed 10 March..
The 18 at 5 PM is not that far off so when ever you are in Ottawa ,post here and we will find you..
I'm sure Jif and Sally will be here..
:remember :drunk:

Gracies on 18 Mar or did that revert to the 10th?

After Alex's post yesterday I'm confused. One date is next week, the other has already passed.

I'll bring my shadow-boxing spotlight-dancing youngster son. He won't be any competition for the waitresses for Young Law.

Jeez Terry..I went all through the postings to see if there was any mention of being booked in at Gracies on the 10th March and couldn't find one reference..
I sure as hell must have slept through it if there was..
Anyway here it is again..Gracies..18th March..
1700HRS..
Rob knows what the big and little hand mean now..
See you then Glad your little lad is coming..I can see him dipped in grease before the summer is done..Just the right size too to use as a pull through..for those hard to get spots..
See you next Thursday ..18th March..

Hi BOOBEE..
I HAVE TO YELL TO WAKE TERRY UP>>>>!!!

Terry..Enough yelling..It is Monday..15th....Wed. is the 17th..St Pattys Day...!!!
That ain't the Gracies parade/..It is Thursday..the 18th...at 1700hrs..
Jif and Sally must be getting all excited to get on the road.outta the Big Smoke..and "On the Road again"..Tralalalalalalalala...
Anyway it will be good to see all of y'all again..17C today wants me to get poking around outside on the Estate..Have a wrot iron railing in front to repair..after a nasty run in ..in a snow storm..with my wife's rear bumper ..it is 46 years old and the salt has eaten away around the base supports so it didn't need much of a bump to hasten it's demise..but It gives me a chance to dig out the mig or the Lincoln and make some new legs and base supports and remount the railing back on the steps.. and a chance to go poke around Princess Auto .and get some square stock..haven't seen the new place yet..
More on Thursday..Be there ..all welcome...
JIf..Don't forget your MLU propaganda..
I need some for Indy the end of the month.

Alex, you are a lucky man to have such a young wife! But sharing her salt intolerance problems is a bit too much information.

For all the Rotters, I have to cancel out from THIS THURSDAY at Gracie's. And you are all welcome for the entertainment.

It was nice meeting you.

I would not like to let this thread die without saying what a pleasure it was to meet Ian and Carol. It was a small crowd but those present found an abundance of topics to discuss and new friendships were made. All this was thanks to MLU.
MLU is more than a website.... it is a family bulletin board where like minded individuals meet and make their dreams come true.

Too busy lately,

I have a photo of Ian, but it isn't all that good. It makes Ian look a little saintly...

I echo Guy's sentiments, and note that we were in the presence of a high quality restorer. Ian brought a photo album of the vehicles he owns or owned. All were truly well restored and well maintained. All I could say was "Wow"...

The ladies of Gracies were of course very nice to look at - and don't ask for photos - come to the next meet and look for yourselves...

Ian McCallum 30-03-10 13:17

Many Thanks for the hospitality

 I would like to thank Alex, Guy, 'Mr HUP' and other ROTers that dropped in at Gracies to give both Carol and myself an insight to true Canadian hospitality and introduction to several new dishes.

The final numbers of attendees was not necessarily that great, but the conversation, warmth of a common interest and general banter made up for it all and the evening flew by in a flash. If any of you are ever across the great pond and find yourselves lost for a place to share more stories over a meal :drunk:and invitation to accommodation, just use the forum.

As mentioned by Guy it was the likes of this 'chance meeting' that only became possible because of MLU, keep up the good work Geoff and sorry to have missed you. Alex, thank you for making the booking and for a memorable night from both Carol and myself. :note:

Ian..
I was truly pleased that you and Carol were able to make it and enjoyed meeting and gabbing with you both..The introduction of Deep Fried Dill pickles and sweet potato fries went over well ..
You certainly seemed familiar with the Guinness.and did not need an intro ..
WE are looking forward to your next trip to see your son ..
I was impressed with our time together and would gladly introduce round two..
A fun time was had by all and know that those who missed our gather up missed an opportunity to meet a really cool and lovely couple..
Alex..
