Jeremy,

How did your windscreen castings go. They look similar to ones fitted to a WOT 2D I have. And I need a couple

hinges

Hi

One of my MCC 15 cwt CS8 wrecks here has a couple of the aero screen hinges in situ on the cowl - I'd like to know how the actual screen frame is made . I do have some drawings somewhere from R Ballard but they didn't seem right to me

Mike .

I made the aeroscreen mount with jeremy, they came out very well thanks, but they all sold very quickly. At the moment i'm not planning to do any more.

John

Are you teasing me :giveup Can you do some drawings of those Morris screens :teach: Mike

jack neville 31-03-14 14:29

Mike are the Morris ones similar to WOT ? I do have one original screen largely complete

I picked up the morris ones thinking they were, or would do for my bedford. But the morris ones are bigger. There in a box at the back of the workshop, which is a lot of work to get to.

jack

I think wot2 are the same as bedford as they seem to have the same mounts. Which mounts are you missing? I may have a couple of one hand left i think.

john

OK John

if you can find those screens one day :note: I will post you a bottle of Aussie wine :salute: Mike

hi Are you sure the Morris screens are bigger ? In this pic, the screens appear to be small to me . Mike

This is the complete windscreen frame removed from a Fordson WOT 2H I recovered but obviously refitted from a WOT 2D at some stage. Or a Bedford!!

Is the glass frame made from steel ? Hard to tell in that pic but it appears to be so Mike

jack neville 02-04-14 13:51

Yes Mike. Steel frame. This one should clean up ok. Any spare ones about?

None that I know of :whinge Maybe we could look into making a few frames ,Is that possible? That frame you have is the only example I've ever seen in Australia - its as rare as the proverbial stuff Mike

I've removed my posted at the request of jeremy which is quite fair enough. Maybe start a new thread regarding the aeroscreens.
