Secret? You should see how many she has! More than Max and John put together.

Emma

For Emma not signing that last post we need to puniish her and she also has to show more respect towards these fine ford machines that we have.I typed this myself, Max.

please any punishment suggestions

Send her to Canada! No Vegemite, no warm sun and a serious lack of CMP's! When she comes back, She'll realise just how good things are here in Oz.

I suggest that you let Emma continue with the posts. At least she doesn't spell punish with two iis and she would use a capital F for Ford. Besides which, even though I haven't met her, I'll bet she's prettier.

Aww, Bob, that's harsh on poor Max!
Max can express himself perfectly well.
As for Emma, I think a bucket of petrol and a scrubbing brush would be good training - she can start with the FGT.
Then a few squares of emery paper to rub it back, some paint and voila! A new Emma!

Max Hedges 20-02-05 22:41

spelling

Who said Emma didn't put the ii in haven't you noticed the spelling at other times, how bad it is, have another look at bread in a previous note. Maybe no else out there can spell.

Kathy

Max was wondering when the Jillaroo gets to Canada the master of this site (the Jiffaroo) may come up with some punishment eg cooking for him etc etc.

Mark Sierant 24-02-05 04:24

Punish the young

Max the perfect punishment will be to have Emma drive the said Ford (THE GIRLFRIEND) for the whole of the Easter Trip. This is while you lie up in a hamock suspended in the back with the tarp sides rolled up eating a pack of Tim Tams.

You may say that is not punishment but for the Ten days away Emma must not express herself and feelings for Old Trucks and or there owners. She must keep Maxs supplied with Tim Tams and not partake in one Herself.:bang:

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 24-02-05 05:15

What the hell are "Tim Tams"?

Bloody Australians....

Jon Skagfeld 24-02-05 05:23

Perhaps Scottish headgear worn while dining at your local Tim Horton's?

Jon Skagfeld 24-02-05 05:25

PS...Antipodeans...Tim Horton's is a popular donut/fast food/coffee type establishment frequented by the local constabulary...aka to the cognescenti as "Horny Tims".

Verra clever there Master Skagman :D

Mark Sierant 24-02-05 05:31

Tim Tams

Tim Tams are Australias number one export earning more income than any other single product. Unlike Vegimite taste is not aquired they are addictive from the first bite or draw through ( for the coffee drinker).

If they have not as yet hit your shores secure the import rights and you could be rich. :D

Mark Sierant 24-02-05 05:39

Here is a thread from some addicted Yanks

Hi y'all

Well I finally made it to the USA. I started the DCF ball rolling on July 27 through
the Sydney office, got married on Oct 6, had the interview on Oct 15, and arrived
with stamped passport on Oct 22.

The activities of Sep 11 didn't make anything harder, just longer queues. And when it
came to customs and declaring any food or other goods (like my didge) the sheer
mention of Vegemite was enough to get me waved through.

Now we can settle down into our wonderful married life.

For all those starting out on this adventure, take things patiently and all
will be ok.

Steve

Hi, Steve,

My Steve has his interview at the Sydney Consulate tomorrow morning. We went the K-1
route because we didn't learn about DCF in time.. oh, well!! We'll be together soon
in any case.

Which point of entry did you select? My Steve will be coming through LAX, and I'm
just curious if he can expect the same as you had. He won't be bringing Vegemite,
however. But probably lots of Tim Tams!!

Thanks for posting your experience. Those of us dealing with Sydney find it
invaluable and a true comfort. And welcome to the United States!!

Take care, Rae

Hi, Di,

Yes, I have, and they're my new favorites!! It's a good thing we're not moving back
to Oz for a few years, or I'd weigh 200 pounds -- all due to Tim Tams... I think they
put heroin in them, I really do!!

TIM TAM UPDATE - My US Fiance got so addicted to Tim Tams he called Arnots when he
was in Australia about the chances of exporting them to the US. Apparently Pepperidge
Farm are already looking into it so we may see them in the stores really soon. My Mum
will be happy because it will save her a fortune in postage!!!

"Cookies with a creamy center"!!!!!! What the .....?

The US site is somewhat out of date since they have also released Tia Maria Tim Tams and Kahlua Tim Tams.
I'm also surprised that they're not more widely available in North America since Arnotts was bought out by an American company a couple of years ago.

Vets Dottir 24-02-05 15:32

My Dear Master Tony,

MASTER TONY,

Hmmm ... I think the bribery is all off now. No trade ... Your cheeky little Sunray and Yappy limerick earned me those Tim Tams from you regardless of your initial barter-power that you relinquished when you chose to limerick us ... I prefer the KAHLUA please and thank you verra much :p Do you have our postal address? :D (just address it to "LITTLE MISS MA YAPPY" along with the correct postal address and postage attached ... that'll do. And WHEN can I expect these delicious KAHLUA SLICE TT's to arrive?

:D:D:D MA :yappy:

DaveCox 25-02-05 18:03

Just seen Tim Tams in our local supermarket - and at the price they want for them they're staying there!

PS: they look like buscuits that we have as 'Penguin' brand.

Ah well, then I may be ever so disappointed ... but perhaps some more ANZAC bikkys would soothe my disappointment? :D
