Me too, Richard

I would like the measurements too please. The clips look lonely in the cab, and the windows bang around when they are placed behind the seats.

Ok guys,
Had a quick go around with the tape, all measurments in inches.
Steel stiffener, 38x 7/8 x 1/8, with rounded ends and sewn into top back of canvas.
Main bag, 38 x 26 x 3 NB the bottom actually measured out at 37, not sure if this is shrinkage or supposed to be out of square.Bottom corners are square not angled or rounded.
Flap is 38 x 6 with 45deg. corners folded down to the seam at 2in.
Four press studs, 2 1/2 from the side (and from the satchel in the middle) 2 1/2 from the top.

Document satchel (Fits workshop manual) 11 1/2 x 9 x 1 1/2. Flap is two peices of 1 1/2 sewn to give a right angle. Two press studs 2 inch in from the side, 1/2 in. from the top

This bag has the bolted fixings, not the hang up loops. Assume that both variations had the steel strip to stiffen them.
Hope this helps, no scanner so don't ask for a drawing but any other measurments you need, fire away.
Rich

Bag for windows cab13

I did get a sample of an original bag.

I will have it reproduce and if you want to have one please let me know.

Does any one have the bleu print or the dimensions of the tarp for a C15A?

James Baxter 11-08-08 12:35

I am interested in having one as well, please.

James

Bag and curtains.

Put me down for both bag and curtains for my Cab 13 also...and seats and seat covers and box and spare tire carrier and.....

Did anyone ever post measurements for these storage bags?

I'm hoping to get a bag made soon, if I can get enough accurate information for the upholstery guys. No point if it just turns out looking like a large green shopping bag. :D

Private_collector 16-09-13 11:32

Thanks Richard. Obviously losing my eyesight, as well as the mind!

The measurements and accompanying photos should be everything I need. With your permission, I will download all the photos, and print them off, for the upholstery guys to look over. Should get to speak with the guys towards the end of this week. Really looking forward to that! Been thinking that I should get the bag under way for some time.

Oh no, just realised I don't recall exactly where I have put the bag brackets.

Ae they bullet style fasteners like the ones on a Cab 13 window front edge?

Gordons 01-10-13 03:28

window bag

The male fastener on the bag is 1/4 dia, same as used on the bottom seat cushion cover straps to retain seat cover to the metal seat base, also as used on the windshield frame for the canvas deflectors, but not the same size as those used on the 12 cab canvas deflectors which are larger and a locking type

Here is what the bullet looks like on the 13 cab window frame its a bit longer than the bullet as shown on the bag but same design

Hi Harry,

I had three of these still attached to the lower rear cab panel to roof joint of a cab I acquired for parts.

Wondered what they were used for for a long time. Possibly used through your leather clips?

Cheers,

Mike Cecil 09-01-21 22:02

Jacques,

Yes, that's what they supported.

Two different design bags in Aust for standard 13 cabs, of course: the earlier wider (front to back) side curtain bag for cabs with steel doors, narrower bag for '44 pattern cabs with demountable doors and narrower side curtain frames.

There was also the bag for the Aust No.9 artillery tractor which held the curtains vertical, rather than horizontal.

Mike
