See the following URL for a road map of the area: [http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/tra...eets/Map11.pdf) - zoom in on Vars/Limoges etc...

The camp site will be “primitive” in nature – in other words there will be very limited electrical (mostly for lighting) and some potable water available. Portapotties will be provided.

Two shelters have been set up; one for cooking and one for gathering. They may be used for camping if inclement weather strikes.

Garbage bins will be provided.

There is plenty of parking available for campers/trucks/cars/vans/CMPS/SMP etc...

I'm sure you'll be more than welcome, Mr. ...err... Pylon, is it? We look forward to meeting yet another of our Band of Rogues!

Apropos of nothing whatsoever, would you mind giving us a name such that we don't look awkward greeting you? Thanks so much. :)

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 21-07-07 01:32

Boobee...

I had an email from Blairski today from Chicago, Boobee, so I don't reckon he's home yet. He said he's hoping to make it, but beyond this, I'll leave it to him to elucidate.

On MY front, it's looking more and more like I might be able to as well, although it's a day-to-day thing at the moment. I'll keep you posted; I would surely hate to miss THIS one. Will you be selling BB2 commemorative t-shirts? If so, I'll take one... :)

Rob, you're a nice chap, but do you always answer your own posts? Just curious... :p

Will be able to confirm attendance this week, but I can almost guarantee I'll be there as it stands right now. If so, steak on Saturday, please.

EERRGGHH.... you two sure know how to hit a guy when his down... :doh:

I was going to say something rude in return, but given this is a family forum an' all, I must set a goddam example for the rest of you nasty bastards; therefore, I shall only say that if you were to carry through with your threats, I'm afraid the rest of you lot wouldn't be seeing much of SUNRAY for most of the weekend! You'd have to bloody well police yourselves, and it would serve you right! :p

So there. :smoker: :smoker: :smoker:

What are your travel arrangements? ETA Ottawa Airport etc...we will org retrieval and delivery...

Travel

Speaking of which and apropos nothing whatsoever, is anyone from this end of the world (the main holding tank for two-legged provincial sewage) driving up to this extravaganza Friday afternoon or Saturday oh-dark-thirty? And if so, coming back when?

I'm trying to set up TSPT in case of a last-minute move order; can fly if necessary I reckon.

Jif of the Slavering Jaws (for STEAK, I mean, yeah, that's it, STEAK...)

Rob,

I fly in on the 11:10 Airbus out of Pearson - arriving 12:10 Air Canada Experimental time.

I appreciate the offer of transport, but I hope to bleed off a few free car rental days ( along with some Aeroplan miles ) for this junket.

If they will give me a minivan perhaps I will try 'camping'... they clean them after each rental don't they???

Will I be too late for a weiner Friday afternoon? Or will there be plenty of them around - hahaha!

See you then.

Stewart

sometime Saturday

You can count me in for Saturday....I figure If I head out sometime Monday or Tuesday with a fuel bowser in tow,I should make it there by then barring any requests for "recovery". Have no camp followers or prisoners...as least not so far.

Cheers

HI Mike

Looking forward to see you Saturday........ but what are you driving that takes so long.....????

AIRDROP

Boobie --

I'm going to fly in (if I was current in square rigs I'd jump in an' show up the lot of you old farts :D ), either Friday mid-afternoon or Saturday 1st AM. If Friday, that Blair fella will collect me, if Saturday, I'll need to arrange tspt for ETA YOW 0926. Will advise and confirm TMGS NLT SAT PM.

RET TMG ETD YOW 2100 SUN... we'll have to figger out how to ship my sorry (by then) ass back to YOW in time.

PS: Either way, put the kettle on! :p

SUNRAY INBOUND

Boobie/Rob...

SUNRAY is confirmed inbound on Porter Air Flt 247, Saturday 18 August (sorry Alex, just couldn't do Friday!). ETA YOW 0926. Pls allow a tad extra time as all the crap I'm dragging with me will require checked baggage*.

Outbound tspt is Porter Flt 264 Sunday 19 August, ETD YOW 2100. I trust that during the course of the routine debauchery this weekend that someone can be found to run me back to civilisation in time (otherwise you're stuck with me, and SUNRAY doesn't work for his fare!).

My requirements are simple, and roughly in order,

(1) TSPT FM YOW TO LOC EFF 0926 SAT;
(2.1) Urn and fire for boiling water;
(2.2) Space in cooler for 1L milk for tea (latter self-provided as per SOP);
(3) Covered space to go to gnd (have bag and mat);
(4) Large pointed stick (to keep the riff-raff in line);
(5) (repeat 2.1 as reqd);
(6) There is no Item (6);
(7) TSPT TO YOW for ARR NLT 2000H Sunday (earlier OK).

All can be sorted onsite save item (1). BTW, I am bringing flags and stickers if anyone wants them.

Reckon that's about all for the moment. PLS confirm soonest.

*Oh waitaminute... almost forgot. I MIGHT be talked into trading the aforementioned crap I'm carrying for... shall we say... Jesse? Your prompt attention to this matter is strongly recommended. :D

:salute: :drunk:

Jif (wondering just what the hell he's getting himself into...)

Geez Jif...
I'm depressed...!!
I was looking forward to picking you up at the airport in Ottawa and heading off to Bobs,with a stop at Gracies to see if Jesse wanted to check out BBB2 this weekend..
Unfortunately I'm only going to be at BBB2 on Friday..
I'm sure someone will pick you up at 9:30AM Saturday morning...
It wouldn't be the first time you,like me, slept under a table this weekend but at least this time you'll remember all about it..

I've slept in worse places than under a table, believe me! An L-shaped slit with overhead protection comes to mind, if I could only find my damned batman to dig it for me... ungrateful sod! Never around when you need 'im. Have to speak to the RSM about getting him replaced! :D :p

Timing is everything... by mid-afternoon yesterday it was dicey, but I COULD have made Friday... but then the night before they jacked the price up $100, so I said to hell with them. It gives me more time to attend to a couple of things, though, so probably just as well. Sorry I'll miss you though!

We'll stay in touch regardless, good luck with YOUR little adventure!

I fergot... it would have to be a DOUBLE slit... wouldn't it, Boobie...? Eh? I mean, all that stuff I'm carrying...? Hmmm? 'The Double-J TAC HQ'? :D :p

Ahem... er... I segue. Alex, even IF Pinky could get outta bed long enough to get up there, he'd have to be given shovel lessons ("...now see here, this here end's the handle and this here end's the pointy part... an' this is wut ya do wif 'em..."), so it seems a wasted effort. 'Course if'n we got bored, we might do it anyways, but that's a whole nuther story. Pinky can stay our pet for now.

Where was I? Oh yeah... Boobie, you can disregard Item (1) off my list as Blairski's wife told him to piss off, pick me up and go to the show (I guess she listened to me after all). Anyway, I'll see y'all onsite!

Jif

PS: Do I hafta, like, sneak into the grounds? You can tell me, I'm SUNRAY (nobody else will know).
