 UC found update

		Hi everyone
You have waited a long time for news about the recovery. Here is a fresch update. My friend with the BV 206 recovery weasel has sold it and now I have to find somebody else with a good recovery vehicule. The old farmer who lived at the remote farm is now deceased and one of the old tractors a Volvo BM 230 Victor has just recently been driven from there on the ice. It has been very cold up here and very little snow. Today it´s -39Celsius and the ice is about 30cm thick. This is good news and I´m now planing more seriously for a recovery in late February or beginning of March. A close by resident has promised me to pack the iceroad before the recovery with his snowmobile, this will help alot and make the iceroad a lot better and stronger. Regards Erik |

 Carrier Recovery

Have you given any thought about getting a TV documentary outfit interested in the story of your recovery? Military Channel, Discovery Channel etc.... When I was working as part of the Military Attache team in Berlin I was involved in facilitating a segment of the bomb disposal technigues used during the reconstruction of Berlin. Proved to be a very interesting experience.
Cheers Mike Timoshyk aka Frak of Frik n Frak...the Windsor Ford boys... |

I have contact with a journalist and fotographer that will join in the recovery.

		Erik,
I wish you the best with the recovery. As another final piece of advice, please re-read Rob Love's suggestion in Aug. 2007. Quote:
