LOL, I'm sure there are some members who would like to keep these things on the quiet... but why is it when you have something to sell nobody posts it here?

Must be one of those Murphy's Law things.:ergh:

Generally speaking, it seems not.
However, as discussed previously, I think this thread can be useful for a "I want... " approach. I have used this thread to notify other MLU'ers that I intend to bid, and, I have not bidded on items on the strength that someone else in this community called 'dibbs'. :teach:
Whether or not other people take notice, well... :rolleyes

Items for sale

Hey Keith,

Send me a catalog :D I still need loads of stuff. Some parts I don't even know I need yet.

What peeves me is when you see something REALLY good, and it's ALWAYS in your part of the world down there. NEVER see whole trucks or the things that can't be posted, up my way. That ambulance body comes to mind, as does the strange chassis & mechanicals from the same seller with the instrument pod.

Whoops...........did I mean to bring that to everyones attention

Oh well, I can't afford the good southern stuff anyway.

Now that ebay has suppressed bidders ID it would be difficult to know who was respecting that request or not. Rots of ruck!

I prefered when IDs were visible, but understand the move to change this.

Some time ago I added my ID to the database on another thread on MLU. Useless now.

On another note, I am pleased to see this book advertised. Especially since I finally got one......for $44.00 roughly. Still, if anyone wants one, here's your chance.

It must be late 50's with that Holden red motor. It started life as a C15A I suspect from the single speed gear stick.

At that price it might still be available when the auction finishes.

Mb-c1

Bugger me! There are currently SIX seperate MB-C1 manuals for sale on ebay.

Guess that's one thing that could be posted here without causing grief to someones bidding, as there's just soooooooo many ones to choose from.

So many copies, I coundn't be bothered posting the links here. If you can't find at least one copy..............you're probably one of the coppers still chasing Lord Lucan. :D :D :D

Potential buyers should note this is a Ford cab 12, NOT a cab 13 item. The cab 12 one bolts under the passenger floor, and therefore has different mounting brackets.

Mike, is your d key stuck? :confused

It's a wonder these poor old Canadian T110 Dodges aren't popular at all. I don't think I've ever seen one restored.

I have driver handbooks for these.

cliff 08-08-12 09:59

If I was more fit and able I'd have one and restore it. A very underated vehicle I feel. :)

Mike Kelly 08-08-12 11:25

stuck key

Well

I had less than 5 seconds to post that . The library computer was about to time out

One of those T110L trucks turned up at Corowa around early 1990's . It had been found in a barn and given a quick coat of light blue , supposedly to look like a RAAF vehicle. It was most original with its Aust. pattern GS wooden body on it. It was for sale at the time at Corowa and a VMVC member bought it . It turns out the motor neded rebuilding , Dont know where it is now :confused . That EBAY example still has the military rims by the look of it, which is very rare , most of them had the civvy rims fitted post war .

Could it have originally been a gun tractor?

No 15-cwt trucks were factory fitted with a winch; quite a few were retrofitted with one during post-military use. Ties in with the seller's claims it has an "orginal type winch".

Nice truck, hope someone here on MLU snaps it up!
