Ryan, your right. It certainly looks to be a C60X. The 1" extension to the grill points to that as does the big diffs etc. The number of spring leaves and having a 270 GMC instead of the Chev 216 confirms it.

What a pity it is in WA. Hope someone saves it.

Regards Rick

Hello All,

Could someone post up what one of the C60x would have looked like in an unmolested state? Thank you. It is hard to work out from the crane photographs as none of them show a complete profile. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/woodv...ve-/1030648458

Kind Regards
Lionel

Here's a few pics Lionel, there were only two configurations in Australia. Following info from Keith's website: "Australia received some 468 chassis, and built two basic types. The first was the "Truck, Breakdown No4 Aust", and the second batch were built as aircraft refuellers for the RAAF."

I don't know if this is a left or right engine, but would suit a Grant.
Seller is willing to separate pump from engine.

Located in Grantham QLD
and there is another one lurking to the rear...

Lynn Eades 10-11-13 06:58

And a carrier. What is the other thing?

Keith Webb 10-11-13 07:03

Cab 12

Interesting, but a bit overpriced perhaps. Looks like the other cab 12 has it's V8 badge. Hard to tell what the other thing is next to the carrier... could even be a limber.

Dale Jordan 10-11-13 08:17

Looks like a cut down carrier to the right of the first carrier , and a jeep body to the right port side on with wind screen folded down . It's amazing that these are still out there .Dale

Nathan Clark 10-11-13 09:23

I know the seller of the blitz and have been to his place. He has around 6 carriers all in different stages of repair plus a number of jeeps to go along.
Regards, Nathan
