Unfortunately, I also have the PU-5008 24 volt version so am wondering what might be needed to set it back to the 12 volt version. But, thanks for the offer.

We're in the same boat. I need to "WW2-ize" my PU-5008. It has the original brown WW2 paint under the OD so that's easy to match. The data and spec plate will be a problem, and of course the 12/24 volt issue.
