Some of the carrier motor mount kits as supplied by Mac's have been made in India. Notice the number of components in each kit. The split pin is not pictured.

Here's one way forward, and much easier to check the water level.
You need a four pound cap (no higher pressure) as the radiators cant handle it. I used a Morris Minor one. and a neck off ebay. Then you have to have the threaded part made and welded to the neck. |
threaded size?
thanks Lynn
Do you have dimension of the threaded part exact thread that will fit the hole on top of radiator? Best Regards Israel |
Sorry Israel, I had the top part of another radiator for sample.

Can anyone tell what dimensions of the part of the image? especially what the size of the window marked in X
I have the part but we'll eat "Corrosion" in the long window Thanks Israel |
Israel how desperate are you for the dimensions ? If you can give me a week I will dismantle one from my pile of parts and draw around it for you and post it to you ? From memory mine does not have any corrosion on.... the offer is there if knowone comes forth before hand.

If I remember correctly the slotted end takes a 5/16" clevis pin, and the fixed end is a 3/8" dia. clevis pin.

How will the BC behave with such wheel dimensions?
thanks |
I doubt the carrier will even notice the different size wheels. I am working on a carrier that belongs to a local infantry battalion. When it was put together back around 1977, they used several front idler wheels in place of the normal roadwheels. Only problem was they did not change the inner bearings over to the roadwheel size. This ended up causing some wear on the inner support arm, but even so, the carrier functioned just fine.
|
Israel, I would personally use 20´ wheel at the rear boogie assy.

Hello
I have a great request. In my carrier I do not have a part CTL 4050. I read that you made the part for your carrier. Could you measure and send it to me? It would help very much with my work. Best regards Zbyszko |
Some joints stuck ...
