Jaques, 81T 3332 A appears in the 41 to 47 Ford commercial Chassis parts Catalogue.
There is also a 70C 18078. I would think the 3332 distorts to suit the radius it sits against, and so, suits all. |

Rubber grease retainers- interchangeability
Hi Beau,
Again, referring to the 1940-1941 Parts Catalogue: Part No. *CO1QF 3305 Tube- Steering gear drag link. It is shown to be the designated part number for all 4 x 4 models. There is a separate part number for the drag link tube for model F8 and model F15 so it is likely they are of smaller diameter. Drag link tubes for all models have the * in front of the part number indicating the part is unique to CMP vehicles. Of course, parts lists have been wrong in the past. And so have I. So going back to the original proposition if someone reproduced the rubber grease retainers they would fit 90% of the Ford CMP trucks still in existence. Cheers |
New reproductions
Very interesting, thanks Jacques.
This could be something to look into, although as with the gearshift boots there's a considerable upfront investment which in the case of the boots was substantial. |
