Memorial Wall
1 Attachment(s)
Here is a photo of the War Memorial Wall Mural here ... the mural was painted by a local artist Joseph Cross in 1999 and was "DEDICATED in 2000" and it honours those from this community area "VALOUR REMEMBERED" who served in all the wars from the Boer to fairly present-day Peacekeeping missions. On the back of the mural is all the names. Behind the wall (on the names side) is a cenotaph as well.

Now, can you give me the origin of "Brass monkeys" meaning very cold? Englishmen refrain from tippy-tappy electronic signals if you would whilst our antipodean chums have a go; think of "England expects. . . . . . ." Keefy. :D R. |

Someone in here emailed me to ask what "DP" means ... "displaced person" ... in the context I used it was about "displaced from my natural Aussie environment perhaps? :) ) but read on for the usual understanding of the term "DP" ... :note:
