man oh man...you guys and gals are killing me with this thread. I have been laughing so hard I keep spitting out my beer. Try blowing beer out your nose, it is very uncomfortable to say the least.

I look forward to meeting you all at Gracie's. I will be there but not too long as I have to get some work done on my web site. Seems the only night I can get together with my support is Tuesdays.

You might as well give up now and just ask your web support guy to come over to Gracie's. Not that you'll get any work done once you see Gracie's Lovelies.... :D

Blondes!

Herr Ballington-Spin or Spifington-Wall.. damn spell checker is on the blitz!

Blondes are way over-rated! Give me a fiery red-head anyday!

Freckles are icing on the cake, especially all over the place, or is that... ubique!

Mike

Kinda quiet out there in Sarsfield, Cliff? Is this a local custom? I digress - tell us about the website.

Actually, right about now just about anything with a pulse will do... :D

I do share smoking space at work with a really cute red-head occasionally, unfortunately she's married. :(

Schedule

Looks like I'm gonna be taking the 1430 Porter Air flight to Ottawa, arrives approx 1530 (if they remember to wind up the rubber bands). After a cab ride in, I should be close to the designated time; will someone meet me in Stalkers' Station?

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 23-01-07 01:26

PS

Will probably be on the 1000 flight out of Ottawa Wednesday morning, unfortunately they want me to work.

Geoff, just look for Alex. We may have to abandon the station for a roomier locale near the band stand. This would be prudent - judging from the number who say they will be attending. The band stand is north (straight ahead) of the main entrance - just follow the bar to the far wall.

Jeez! I haven't been this excited about going out since my last parts run!

Vets Dottir 23-01-07 06:25

Someone, anyone, PLEASE take photos of the big Gracies MLU-ers night out ... and post them here :)

The implication in your statement is a bit frightening... does he LIVE there?

I'm getting on the damned airplane, so STFU, OVER. Gotta git my hair cut first, though.

Looks like my friend (and occasional member here) Maj Andrew Davies might by joining us. We work together on Tanknet, and he was an ONTAR, so the right headspace. For some strange reason, he knows Gracie's... must be the Ottawa air... personally, I think he just wants to drink on Maj Mike's crowns... :D

Don't be cheeky, my son! All that gray stuff that grew out since the last time you saw me. I looked like an aging hippie

Fortunately, that's now taken care of. :D :p

The Forum

I'll be on my way to Gracie's in Ottawa in about 45 minutes, so in my absence, if you need any forum business done, contact Karmen. What she can't handle, Hanno can and she will refer accordingly. I don't forsee any problems, though.

Be back tomorrow, will be in touch.

Geoff (somewhere lost in space over Ontario),

Answer to Question 1: Alex drinks coffee all night long, so judging from his accelerated state of agitation by nights end, I vouch that he is alive, but no, he does not live there...he just likes to get there early (in fact he has been there since opening time today).

Answer to Statement: The duty of a sentry or guard is to alert those he/she is quarding to any untoward activities. I get the feeling that if you see something that interests you, it will not be shared with the "guarded"...so, stay close to the pack.

Answer to Question 2: Well, we could always talk politics - that gits me riled up. In truth, I am too old to chase wimmen, and I don't need to drink to forget...that happens naturally now. I will give Ottawa some credit - it has perhaps the greatest collection of CMPs in Canada...now that is worth getting excited over!

No worries - we always photograph the goings-on for future legal action. Mind you, most (OK, all) of the photos are of the hideous serving staff (Brass Rail ugly at that...).

Re: Rob

All duly noted. Will be on the road as soon as CSI Miami is done (I'm in love with Emily Proctor and Khandi Alexander).

PS: I've been Lost In Space for a few years now, but you already knew that, didn't you?

OK RH...I wasn't going to tell any tales out of school, but for our readers information ,the last time we were at Gracies I was so shocked by your manners after you had that Shirley Temple,I dropped a whole handfull of soup....
I'm waiting patiently for King Willy...and then we'll be on our way..

Alex, I like you a lot, but you obviously need some edumacating... soup is to be drunk out of a BOWL, with a SPOON, not out of your hands (bloody air force habits)... :teach:

Pylon1357 23-01-07 18:48

It may be very late notice...yeah like 4 hours BUT, I may not be able to make it this time. I was booked out early today at work but 4 guys never bothered to show up today. Totally swamped today looks like a late night for me here. If I can get out at a reasonalbe time...I will see you all there.

Alex,

If you will recall, it was a warm milk - I don't drink the potent stuff, and you were eating a soup sandwich...I'll try to raise the level of couth and deportment, but given who is coming to town today, I don't think it will matter a tinker's damn.

Wish I could be there too, but photos is the next best thing and I'll enjoy seeing them in here. Someone should do sound recordings as well

I didn't figger on clinging to the outside of it, if that's what you're implying...
