This was a distinctive document in that the part was to be disposed of, not returned to stores. For example, the removal of the Wireless NO. 11 set base that was factory installed on the MK-I* (Canadian) universal carrier was to be returned to stores. Not perpetuated. 💤 😴 |
Thanks again Michael. It follows then that mine and Israel's MK2's would never have had them fitted. Ron

CTL 780A Tool Box and Rod Cover

Israel, there is a cut out piece on the left side to allow for the left side bell crank. There are two strips welled to the bottom that are tapped so that the bolts coming up through the floor can screw into. (5/16" (8mm) thick and cross ways) There is also a fibre block that two spare spark plugs screw into.

however, good to be aware that the Israeli vehicle is a MK-I*, updated to British MK-II in the UK, so not a C31UCW NO-2 MK-II* that you have, Seb. |

I guess I won’t be able to copy the tool boxes then? The steering rods and throttle rods are what I really was happy to see. I couldn’t clearly see in the drawings what some of the rusted remains I have left. These pictures cleared many questions on what the rotted stubs I have left use to look like. Hahaha. |

Stowage bins are dissimilar between MK-I* and C31UCW. Some care will be needed when understanding the differences. Some part differences are quite subtle on BREN barrel, ration and engine spares bins. |
Few more steps forward in Bren restoring
5 Attachment(s)
We have taken a few more steps forward in Bren restoring
Construction of the fuel tanks, painting and installation of the fuel tanks, including the accompanying parts. Restoration of a front headlight, which was built according to the pictures in the book and in the pictures. What remains is to connect the fuel pipes including the intake pipe with the internal filter of the tank. |
