GOOD HOME WANTED FOR RETIRED FILM STAR !!!
HUE 706
This is a rigid four - wheel drive army truck that featured with John Lennon in ' How We Won The War' ...
This Second World war vehicle was manufactured in Canada and shipped to the U.K for assembly in 1942.
The vehicle saw service in the North African Desert Campaign and was later used as a farm vehicle whence it enjoyed a brief film history ...
In the 1950's the truck was fitted with a four-litre Ford 4D diesel engine.. then in roughly 1994 it underwent further restoration by one of the previous owners but since then it has been laid up ..
This was one of the first ford trucks with hydraulic brakes ..
MOT & TAX EXEMPT
We have the log book for the truck .. a hand written letter about its history from a previous owner and a newspaper cutting with picture from the 'Diss Express' from when it was sold at auction in March 1997..
Since it was sold at auction it has not moved very far and of course has deteriorated slightly .. But it would not take too much to restore her to her former beauty ..
Her two front tyres are flat .. but we do have spares ( as you can see in the back ) ..
The bonnet for the engine is in the back ..
It also needs a battery .. but .. its a goer !! She still runs !! ..
Great for any ex military vehicle enthusiast or ' John Lennon ' / ' Beatles ' memorabilia fan .. ( or a bit of both !! )
I have been also informed that the number plate alone is worth quite a bit, but have never wanted to separate it from the vehicle ..
Reluctant sale .. as moving house .. CASH ON COLLECTION PLEASE .. COLLECTION FROM NEAR THETFORD IN NORFOLK

I was surprised to see this Hanno, :confused

I was contacted by a collector in Eastern Europe last year who said that money had changed hands and the truck was on it's way to him, looks like the deal fell through. I hope it finds a good home this time round :(

Very rare WW2 Chevrolet 17pr gun tractor. I believe that only 8 of these were built in 1944, being converted from the 2pr portee that was by then obsolete.Originally built in 1941.
The conversion involved removing the tilting body and fitting a fixed one and also fitting the chassis mounted PTO winch as fitted to other Chev Gun tractors. there are very few references on the net to this type of truck the nearest I can find is in Australia.
85% restored all the woodwork is new,all the chassis and running gear have been cleaned and painted engine rebuilt, new 12 X 20 tyres, completely rewired, new canvas. The engine starts and ticks over but needs a tune up as it runs rough. The brakes will need overhauling.

We've seen it before, go to the top of this page. It was for sale on ebay October last year (seller cpajma ended the auction with bidding standing at £3,700.00 with the reserve price not met), before that it was for sale in 2008.

Ford F15 CMP 1942 military vehicle: http://www.ebay.nl/itm/251162776659

Seller: g5030

Hello and welcome to my auction for my 1942 13 cab F15 CMP.
I have had this for a couple of years now and sadly do not use it as much as I would like, infact I have not used it at all this year.
This little truck has the correct 24 stud flathead V8, 4 speed gearbox, Gauges, seats, vacuum wipers, split rim wheels, compressor, etc.
I have replaced the dynamo with an alternator for reliability.
It has 4 exellent petlas tyres,
In the back there are bench seats.
Due to being kept outside ( covered ), the paint has faded and some surface rust on the front bumper which will brush off, so could do with a re paint, also I think the handbrake cables have seized but wheels still turn so still driveable.
Currently SORNed and MOT run out, but will be MOT exempt after November.
We are located in North Wales so please come and have a look before bidding.
Right, boring bit,- No paypal unless you will pay the fees, cheques or anything else cleared in my account before collection. No bids with less than 50 positive feedback, contact me first, your bid will be removed.
I am not desperate to sell, nor do i need the space, don't waste your time with silly offers, I expect a fair price, I simply wish to give someone else the opportunity to enjoy this vehicle.
This vehicle is not listed for sale anywhere else, the Auction will run to the end.
Auction results: 25 bids entered, bidding ended at GBP 5.100,00, did not meet reserve
