Seems like a nice truck though if you want to do a lot of events. |

The rear body looks non-standard, could well be one of the F15 4x2 chassis/cabs delivered to the UK to be fitted with a Polsten gun. It seems not all were actually fitted with the 20-mm AA gun, and were quickly sold off post-war to be fitted with various types of bodies in civvie street. http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/at...7&d=1306699729 |

Any ideas on the radio box? Is it a modified Canadian body, or maybe postwar Austin, Morris...? The shape of the top looks different from a Canadian body, also roof sits higher and windows are somewhat different. Alex |

This F15 is back in the market. Was it John Marchant's if I recorded it correctly?

Hi
Just saw this come up on HMVF as a link to E-Bay UK http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-CMP-T...895&rmvSB=true Hope it finds a good new home either in its civi livery or to be restored to military. Either way it looks (from the pictures) like it might be a good one Normal disclaimer no relation or connection to seller. Cheers Phil |

LAAT in need of resto on ebay UK

For some reason these seem to be one of the most common surviving CMP model's in the UK. Bus Companies seem to have liked them but practically none of the QL version have survived. I once saw a Bedford RL Bofors Gun Tractor but quite if the body was original to the truck I do not know.

Thanks for the heads up. I merged your thread with this one - that LAAT was spotted already. Hanno |
