I am posting this information on behalf of Louis S. who is awaiting the approval of his membership on the MLU forum.

He found the truck behind a barn near Havelock, North of Toronto and dragged it home.

It is reasonably complete, cargo box replaced as usual but with a 261 engine already installed. He will need numerous small bits and will do a similar posting in the sales/wanted section.

here are a couple of videos he produced and a few still pictures.

Very nice find. It should provide many hours of enjoyment.

Bob,

There's no Louis S. in the approval queue. Did he use his real name to register? Please check with him as he would be welcome as a MLU member.

Regards,
Hanno

Lovely find!

I wonder if the cargo box could be a modified Ford or Dodge dump body (?).

dump box.....and registration.

You are correct Alex...... the style of construction for the one piece sides and bottom is typical of small dump truck box from the late 1930..... more investigating is required.

Hanno..... will send you a PM on his name and email address.

Cheers

I actually thought it might have been a Dodge D60S dump body that was lengthened......but completely forgot that the CMP/MCP dump bodies were actually based on late 30's civvy designs , so it could just as well be a civvy body:doh:

I haven't had a chance to watch the youtube vids yet, but I am looking forward to the moment I do.
