Suggestions and Such

Gents, we're three weeks old this weekend, and by all accounts, the transition from the Old Forum to the New has been relatively seamless; I daresay I like this one better, as it seems to make it much easier to navigate through one's favourite subjects - never mind the ease of administrative control this software permits!

You've had a chance to get used to this package. What I'd like to know now is what YOU think, at least in terms of the way it's structured. What works for you and what doesn't? Are there subforums which should be rolled into others because they're partially redundant? Should we add new subforums in their places (as in the Restoration Forum, just added)? Are there user features you'd like to see but don't?

I've already had suggestions made, but I'd like those who have submitted them to add them here for public discussion; the Restoration Forum concept was an immediate favourite just by its very nature and by Bob's and Pete's obviously intense entreaties! :p

I can't promise you any immediate changes, or even any changes you might like to see as individuals, but I'll listen to all and tell you why I won't act if there's a reason for same. I do have concerns about subdividing our "basic" interest into TOO many categories, but let's deal with that issue on a category-by-category basis.

The objective here is to build a platform accommodating YOUR best interests in the best way we can without inconveniencing the majority of Members!

Fire away with your comments and suggestions; if someone writes something you like, support it!

Thanks for your time and patience. :)

As a newbie to this site and forum I've been
on here a lot familiarizing myself with it all since registering TODAY! and
I'm really enjoying how well structured and easy to use this is for me! I like how its all set upand works...and I also like how I've been `treated' in here so far. Big thumbs up!!!

an observation...

anyone else notice that there is a heading over each topic that says, "Last Post?"

Now given the military nature of this place, Last Post has a dual meaning....I just hope this isn't prophetic in nature, I've been having a rough couple of weeks and this would not bode well at all. :)

Things look great Geoff, keep up the good work.
