1942 4.2 inch SB Mortar
Well just finished restoring the above noted Complete with MK 1 Base plate and sight. Turned out really good. Fully deactivated. Thanks to Rob for all of his advice.

For my technophobe friend Tom.
Teasing aside, it is a beautiful job. I wish I had the time to do mine up. |
4.2 in SB Mortar
Thanks again Rob

Very nice. The vast majority of survivors are the late war type with the wheeled Base Plate.

4.2 in SB Mortar
That is one slick looking mortar! Very nice restoration work.

Tom and I discussed the preservation of the bare (shiny) metal. In the museum game, as well as some firearms enthusiasts who collect rather than shoot, wax is the answer. It will last a lot longer than oil before requiring re-application.

Very nice, Tom.
You will now have to get the full set of T16 Carriers to go with that 4.2” mortar (yes, there was more than one)… http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ad.php?p=45329 |

All you need are three Windsor carriers and a mortar trailer to drag the thing around. And don't forget the megaphone for shouting orders
