Chevy Condensor Can wanted
 

If any one out there has one, I am still trying to source a Condensor Can for my C15TA.

Unless some one is going to tell me different, I assume these to be identical to the standard truck version.

How about starting with photos
 

Original undamaged overflow or condensation are I believe relatively scarce. From what I have seen looks like they were made by a coffee can manufacture.

I have fabricated cans of approximate size and shape for my trucks.

Function of the cans is very definitly more overflow recovery of expansion if the system is sealed well as the engine cools it draws the fluid in tank back into the radiator and engine. Problem generally being getting the radiator cap to be a true seal.

How about photos and dimensions of know orginal cans.

Was there a difference from Pattern 12 to Pattern 13 Chev? The parts manual lists it as:

Radiator Overflow Tank
Tank Assy. Radiator Overflow (First Jobs) (on top of Fender) 5805402
Tank Assy. Radiator Overflow (After Jobs) (under Fender on Footwell Panel) 5819685

Appear to be identical

I compared the overflow tank in the C15TA against one from a softskin and they appear to be identical (diameter 6 3/4", height 8 1/2 ")

The C15TA-02 Spare Parts List gives the following numbers:

"Radiator Overflow Tank Tank Assy., Radiator Overflow (First Jobs - on top of Fender) 5814752
Tank Assy., Radiator Overflow (After Jobs - under Fender on Footwell Panel) 5819686"

Note these differ from those Phil posted.

I recently received an original Chev overflow can (fender mount, I think, but I need underhood), unusable, but possibly repairable or which might be used as a pattern to make a copy.

Haven't made up my mind about which way to go with it, but meanwhile, this place, for a cool $105.00 US has a condensor can for Chev 216 of the era, but which looks longer than the standard. Anyone have first-hand knowledge of one of these new units?

Here's one on a C15A with the correct part number. The truck was restored many years ago when this sort of gem was still available NOS.
