Gents, What’s this for ?

The 38WS has a similar hook that fastens into the brace where a universal pouch would normally be so that the wireless hangs on one side of the man's chest. Wondering if what you have would allow it to hang down on a thigh with the webbing connected to the belt?

Possibly part of a mine detector webbing set?
I'm thinking the Detector, Mine No.3 (Polish), maybe for the control box or to strap the search coil to the operator's arm for use when prone? The mine detectors started out in VAOS Section WA but were moved to Section ZA later on. The backpack I have is ZA.22756, which is Satchel, Signals, No. (4 or 5, I believe), and that's close enough for it to be almost certainly part of the same equipment. Chris. |
Hello
Yes it's a parts for the Polish MKIII mine detector. You can see this parts on this document (frog WA 9948). Kind regards daniel from france https://i62.servimg.com/u/f62/17/20/17/25/5410.jpg |
Ah, so I have ZA.22756 Satchel, Signals, No.5 - good to know. :)
(This probably means that the mine detector backpack with the hole in the bottom for a cable is Satchel, Signals, No.4 - I don't have this one yet.) :( Chris. |
ok cool, thanks for the replies.
