Hi, Does anyone know where there is a 2pdr on a 6pdr mk4 carriage?, I am replicating some parts. I have attached a pic of one in the factory.

Ask Mr. Love
Many years ago one was shipped to Shilo along with Bill Gregg's collection.
I have a photo of it here somewhere. Rob probably sees it once a week. Peter Simundson |

There is one in the Museum in Brantford Ontario that I covet above all...

Thanks gents, Charlie Im looking for photos of this area of the gun, where the saddle pivot comes through the bearing keep, taken from the side so I can see the end face of the pivot shaft.

I dont get down there often. I'll forward to a friend Neil and we'll see what he can do...

Not so sure. We have a 2 pounder outside the museum, but I think it is on the normal 2 pdr chassis. There is also the David type 2 pounder hyper velocity barrel with a 6 pdr breech ring that is on a chassis that I believe is marked for both guns. But that gun resides on the base golf course, which I do not visit. I'm off work for a few days, but if your answer doesn't show up by then, I'll see what I can find. |
There's one standing next to the 95mm infantry howitzer at Shilo, as in my link above.

Right you are Adrian. I was sure that one was on the smaller chassis. I have done the tires on the gun next to it, but I don't think I have ever done anything to that one aside from putting it up on jackstands. I do have to change the tires on it at some point.
