Went through this 2 years ago

Hi Gilles

This used to be an easy part to find at NAPA but two years ago when I was doing the HUP kept coming in wrong, will look for the numbers we were using. In the end while looking in old boxes for a better number discovered I had a nearly new disk that I had set aside when I needed pressure plate as well.

If you are in a hurry give http://www.obschevy.com/Pages/ShopOnline.html a call have your old disk in front of you when you call to confirm dimensions. They have disk and clutch pack listed.

Cheers Phil

If you go with exchange or core charge source

Hi

Another thought if you are going with a rebuild or core charge source, try and hold on to your clutch until you have confirmed that the replacement is a match. Once when getting a clutch rebuilt what they sent back was not what I sent in and it didn't fit.

Can someone help with a current clutch part number

Hi All

Can someone help with a clutch current plate or clutch pact number, to help Gilles? I have misplaced my shop note book from my HUP overhaul which would yield old number which didn't work with local parts sources.

Gilles if you have luck please let us know.

Cheers Phil

Why not rebuild the clutch you have???

Ottawa brake and clutch took my complete assembly....resurfaced the flywheel, resurfaced the pressure plate and rebuild with New HD springs....also provided the proper throw out bearing.

They installed my brake linings, turned the drums and arced the lining to match the drum.

Surely the Montreal area has similar specialized shops..... I would ask for leads/references from larger machine shops or farm equipment dealers.

I opted for the larger 11 inch clutch to better match the 261 torque.
