$100,000 Land Rover
Phoenix is going to fall off his chair.
It's a current model Aussie Land Rover on ebay from South Australia. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LAND-ROVER-AR...QQcmdZViewItem  |
Well, if he wants AU$100,000 for it, it's certainly generous of him to throw in the trailer. [*Emoticon for D***head*].
I don't know where the rumours about car dealers having reputations for spotting a bargain comes from. Why, only a couple of months ago on REMLR we were discussing this very same vehicle when the original owner in WA had it for sale for AU$50,000. Surely it hasn't doubled in value already, has it? Very canny purchase by the dealer if it has. |

Remember the warbird sale on Ebay a while ago? Current bid is a mere AU $1,035.00, sounds like a steal. H. |
Just piss him off and bid it up $20 at a time!

Oh dear. His English skills remind me of a movie (can't recall the name though) where Sir John Gielgud approaches a US football player and asks: "Can you spell?"
Evidently this dealer missed out on the spelling phase of his schooling as well as the location of the spell checker on his confuser. I think it should be bid at a cent per time if that were possible. |
This landy has now been withdrawn from sale. Do'nt know much about E-Bay but had assumed that once the auction had started it was to run its course, the loophole being a reserve (if set) not met. Must get around to reading the fine print.
