I take it you didn't win the one today for £1500 plus 18% then!

I was in the auction room and the bidder was very determined. A few minutes earlier he paid £500+fees for "a 1941 dated aerial coupling unit for wireless set no. 11"

kevin powles 21-03-15 21:28

It was a British built set in the auction, I will settle for the more common australian version. I wonder if the buyer needs a set of power plugs for it which were not included?. I have them.

Or the Aerial Coupling for £500.00!

I do have however an 11 set coupling unit in nice minty condition not a million miles from where you are ;) Ian

Hi Ian, I think the sale was a success, as I know you were involved. I'm interested in the coupling, dare I ask the price to a fellow collector?.

Kevin.

Oh now let me think :confused I am sure we can reach a suitable pricing that will satisfy both parties ;) Yes, overall I think it went very well, no lots unsold at the end of the day and as we witnessed some real surprises from time to time on some items.

kevin powles 23-03-15 00:45

Ian, I'll pm you about the coupling. What I can't work out about these auctions is if you put the same items on ebay for the whole world to see for a week most would not attract any interest and some would only get a fraction of the price?!!?.
