1945 Dodge Canadian

Hi folks, I have been asked by a mate of mine who's looking for head gasket for a 1945 Dodge (C60?). I must shamefully admit that my Canadian Dodge knowledge is sorely lacking and I need all the help I can get.

What engines did the Canadian Dodge's have during the war? I know that the Dodge WC52 knock-off the APT had a 245 c.i. engine that differs from the regular 230 c.i. in several aspects.

I am considering getting a Dodge like the one in the picture as the PPA (Popski's Private Army) had at least one which belonged to the motor pool of the unit.

Any and all help greatly appreciated. I'd appreciate if you could contact me via e-mail ( goran_noren@yahoo.com ) too, as I don't frequent this forum as much as I really should. :nono:

Kindest regards

They were all ...

236.6 cu in straight six flathead engines, 25" long at the head to block joint. They were known variously as 236 or 237 (because of the 0.6 cu in)

Your friends truck is a D60, T110L engineering code, but a D15 T222 code engine should have the same gasket. I'm not aware of any American gasket that will swop in directly, not even from a later American 25"long block - but it might.
