Carman, Lynx is Rick Cove, owner of a most interesting collection of good stuff.
Rick will be familiar to people from the 'Year of' series. Here's a pic with our own Jiffrey taken at Bandiana. |
Thanks Keith ... and I KNOW that name from either MLU or your site or "Year of ...". :)

Much modified F15 cab 12 at Yea on the way home from Corowa, owned by a VMVC member and in daily use as a farm vehicle. What mods can you pick? One is the Chev diff but many others are visable in this photo.

Mods
Hi Rick,
Great pic's of a great event, thanks. As for mods on the cab 12, is it on a Toyota chassis with home made tray? the front bumper looks a little light, 1/4 windows with wind up side windows. Part of the cab looks original. :p How was your trip home? |

My second car was a real nice FC Holden in two tone blue. Wish I still had it along with the early Cab 11 Ford CMP with no vents I once owned as well. Cheers Cliff :) |

Perhaps it would be better in DBG?

The grill section on the front of the bonnet looks a little strange, but I can't pick what's wrong with it. Has it been extended for an engine swap or something? |
My two bob's
Being Ganmain's foremost authority on #12 cabs, here's my picks.
Panel work foward of the windscreen seems too 'flat', as does the back of, and position of, the bonnet (hood). The windscreen seems to be manufactured or maybe just the vertical panel immediatley below the 'screen is an addition to compensate for the flat panel work. "A" Pillars are not CMP. Doors swing the wrong way & have a 1/4 glass fitted. (I miss "quarter vents"!). The doors and indeed the entire cab seems bigger. There is extra metal work between the doors & front paneling. However there is little room between the front panel work & the bumper. Therefore no room for the chassis mounted tow hooks. The bonnet seems to have been extended to perhaps accomodate a longer engine or engine maybe mounted in a futher foward position.? And are the chassis rails wider? All in all I would suggest it is Australia's best looking Land Cruiser. How'd I go? HH |

Hi Colin
Colin took me for a ride in the Chev while I interviewed him. It's a wonderful vehicle and a lot of fun to ride in with the top down.
