It looks similar to this item on an ended auction on ebay (a long address for the site):-

There is also a U.S. site listing a similar item but I can't find a photo.

I'm no expert but it looks like the periscope used to look around outside a trench.

Thank you Paul and Robert for the replies and information! That eBay link certainly look like it. WW1, huh? Wish I had that nice mount and handle to go with it to make it complete.
Again, many thanks for the info!
While I'm on a roll here, could someone please possibly identify one of these items I also dug out of my garage? All of these are very heavily made, most likely for for armored vehicles, but can't find out which ones or what vintage. Any additional help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to find all these items new owners:

For the Telescope M76G, apparently connected with a 105mm Howitzer,, I found this:-

No photo that I can find. Could the M76 part be the equipment type? I have not found anything to match the second telescope but, again, could it be from a 155mm howitzer?

Hi

The third photo along, lower telescope is I believe is a periscope out of a Stuart, for the 37mm main gun. A M70 I think, it is missing the face mask.

This is an M70D that just sold on ebay for $43. It didn't sat what type of tank it was out of.

M70D is for Stuart M3A3 and M5, M5A1.
