Looking for Iltis

My son has decided to take the plunge and is now looking to buy a good, running, Iltis. Anyone know of such a beast? Near Gagetown or Ottawa (preferably Ottawa).

Iltis

FWIW, bidding (7 bids) ended at $2225.00, reserve not met on eBay.

Looked like a very nice piece of kit. Location: Nova Scotia.

I know where there is an Iltis for sale and it is in good condition. There is little rust and needs to be repainted. The mechanical condition appears to be very good. The guy who has it wants $3000 and we bargained to $2500, he said yes but we decided we didn't want it. The owner removed the canvas top and made a hard top with 4 doors,, a rear opening door over the spare. He added a small winch in the front, a roof rack and 2 civilian seats. Overall the Iltis is an excellent project vehicle and with the roof it is unique. The reason we did not buy it we already have 8 MV and 5 trailers. In the spring we will be buying a wrecker. Iltis or wrecker.!!! If you want extra info gilles@oops.ca We are in the Ottawa area

Iltis for sale

I have seen an Iltis for sale, the owner is asking $3000 but will take $2500. The Iltis is in good shape but has been modified, the roof is now metal will 4 doors and a rear hatch, civilian seats and a small winch. Overall the jeep is in good to very good condition it reuires a paint job, very minor body work and a new windshield. I was going to buy it but my CFO (chief financial officer ) reminded me Iltis or the wrecker next spring. if you want the info contact me at gilles@oops.ca. Please be cautious if you purchase from Carleton Automotive as the Iltis he sells are usually missing a lot of parts and this drives the price up. len is a good guy but please check.

I found a picture of my son's Iltis while still in the CF. As you can see he had a number of vehicles from which to choose. He picked this one because 'the paint was in better shape'.
