A couple of years ago I received the two brackets in the attached photos mixed in with some CMP parts I wanted. I didn't know enough to say whether the label saying "Sten Gun Mounts, Bren Carrier" was even close to the truth. Thank you for helping identify the parts for me. It appears that there are two different clips based on Kevin's photos and that I have two of the clips shown on the left in his photos.
For my education, do you know the part numbers for the two types of clip?
I don't want to interfere with Kevin's deal, once Kevin confirms that his deal for the clips is complete I would be interested in selling my clips.

The Canadian production of the MK-II* carrier, C31UCW used these two supports. They are identified as "Support assembly, - Sten gun, part number C31UCW 104378. The quantity is "2", the model and unit applicable is the C31UCW. (Canada, 1943, 1st model, Universal Carrier, Welsh Guard Stowage)
Pages 298, 310, 311 and 419 of FUC-03 refer.

These supports are not used on three models of the MK-I* series Universal Carriers.

Thank you for the identification details, it would have taken an age to find in the manuals given my lack of knowledge on carriers.

All good Grant, you are welcome. The part does show up as an assembly.
I have now checked Chilwell, for the UK production carriers, I did not find it in the stowage diagrams.

This assembly attaches to the Canadian engine cover protection plate, occasionally referred to as the radio operator protection plate. It is not found in/on the MK-II* rear compartment long side plates, where other supports are located to mount rifle, BREN and Thompson.

Somone made multiple copies of these supports some years back.
Perhaps there are samples with part numbers and maker marks available for comparison purposes?.
