WS19 mounting frame #21 and further Aerial info
 

1) I'm looking for a #21 mounting frame for a WS19, any condition acceptable as long as reasonably complete.

2) Also looking for either 4 guy rope assemblies for the Canadian 34ft aerial, any condition, or photos or good dimensioned sketches of the triangular wooden blocks on the ends of the guy ropes, showing how the ropes are fed through the holes in the blocks.

3) Copy of an instruction book for the 34ft aerial.

I had a original 19 set frame . I have the drawings , or sketches I did , Is the # 21 the normal frame ?

# 1 was the original frame for the AFV mounted supply unit and set. This was plated steel (probably cadmium, so be careful of any powdery corrosion).

# 21 was the later (green painted) version, probably less of a hazard, otherwise identical.

All screw threads are Imperial (BSF), the strap tensioner is 5/16-in BSC (British Standard Cycle Thread), which I think is 26 tpi. Taps/dies are available from various model engineering suppliers in the UK. It may be best to make the knurled knuts out of stainless steel rather than painting or electroplating them.

Yes BSC is 26 tpi but apparently there are some anomalies that can crop up.

I have also come across British Standard Electrical Conduit threads , mostly used on older electrical fittings.
