Bit Of A Ferret
3 Attachment(s)
Hi all - whilst hunting around for a Lee turret for a mate, I came across this. The middle section of a Ferret Scout Car. This came about through constant advertising on our local radio station's Radio Classified program. I just keep asking for a tank turret much to the announcer's amusement. Now, next Saturday I can say Na Na Na Na Ya. However I , or rather my mate, still needs a Lee turret. Anybody interested in this Ferret bit, PM me and I'll forward the owner's details. It is located near to me so I could pick it up and store it.

Looks a bit like a 1/2 ferret hull I know of locally (owner has asked that I do not divulge where).
|
Are you sure that the rest of the ferret is not buried under it?
|
Do you mean me or bob? In the case of the one I saw, it's a 1/2 because of the parts of the hull that have been cut off!!
|
Hi I believe Doug of Doug's heavy Metal Gallery is after a Ferret Section such as this.
Doug's Email: dgrev@iinet.net.au http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/lsm/dhmg/ For my own part I looking for any Carrier or Tank Hulls to buy (except Stuarts) I'm located near Bathurst NSW. cheers! |
Ferret Part
Sold to an instantaneous response. That's the only way to get the goodies.
Treadhead - there are plenty of Carriers around in various conditions. Depends what you want and what you want to spend. Bob |
I'm after a Carrier such as the one in the image (but with tracks), A Carrier modified with the Differential mounted on the front would be better.
http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/1...erhullsoz1.jpg It's not for a Carrier restoration back to an original state, this is for quite a different project & I'm loath to cut a complete or near complete Carrier, There are already too few vehicles of historic significance. As for price, I'm open. cheers |
For the record, the project I have in mind for a Carrier Chassis, is NOT for a Panzer I, Panzer II or a Vickers, Nor for a US, French, Italian, Russian or Japanese vehicle.
cheers. Col |
New Project
Hi Colin
Firstly welcome to the forum, you will find all the information that you may need here, everyone is only to pleased to help out, I have sent a P M to you so check that out, Regards, Ron |
Hi Col and welcome to the forum. You must be a nice bloke with a name like that. What type of project are you going to do, or is still top secret yet.
If you want one with the diff at the front, might I have a guess and say a scale leapard or centurion. What about a 1/3 scale LVT. That would be interesting for corowa next year. What do you think Ron, he'd have plenty of time to squeeze one of them in before march 09. I don't mind a bit of a challenge myself, and don't forget Col, just yell for help. regards Colin (Adelaide Carrier Central) |
Thanks for the welcome guys

I'm also in the middle of restoring a 1938 Zundapp DB 250 motorcycle, 1 of only 2 known, the other is in South America. There were only 2500 DB 250's made before civilian production was abandoned to the 500, 600 & 800's for military production. |

I am also looking for the MK1 plates, and rubber. I have a MK2/3 and would like to make it a little more passenger friendly.
