A funny ad

This is quintessential Aussie:

Crank up the sound.

I just cranked it up... where do I buy Carleton Draught? having a nervous breakdown here...

and a lot of adverts made and designed in this country are made and thought up by people with little or no imagination:D

As the ad said

It took beer to make it, and I believe them.

I thought it was very original and funnny.:D

yes it was Keith and I too thought it was funny and original but it is silly expensive ads like this that make your beer so expensive LOL. My comments were aimed more at myself as there are very few ads which linger on in my old brain cells over the years and I have to admit with a lot of the garbage they call advertising on TV one does form the impression that the ad makers have run out of ideas.

Mind you I also looked at the landscape and wondered where it was made? It had a faint resemblence to the South Island of New Zealand to me but that might just be me.

so if I offended you with my comments I am sorry as I did not mean anything by them and I am glad you posted it.

cheers
Cliff :salute:

PS> hehehehe just wondering if any of the 'beer' dressed folk lost or damaged the family jewels on the barbed wire fence while making it :D

whats next?
100 carriers and blitzes for ford???? we could hope

but then again you would need 100 chevys to tow and jump start the fords into position.

If I may be so bold as to correct your statement above,

we would only need 50 Chevs.

All Chev men know ‘two Fords on a rope are worth one stove bolt under the hood’

Dreadful paraphrase that Master 2 T’s Notton would not stoop to use I fear

Stove bolts are Us :p

Quite so.

10/10 for spelling the palindrome correctly.

pete i still think we would need 100 chevys. 50 for the tow and jumps, and 50 for the spair parts the fords would need

Nice find Keith.
I sent it over to a few other Boards and it was a hit everywhere.
A true classic indeed.
Cheers
Bill
