CMP 3-ton canvas cover dimensions

Over on the MLU FB group Cyprien Ouvrard from France asked about a canvas cover for his C60L. Terje André Braten from Denmark shared a drawing with dimensions. I am posting it here for future reference. The canvas has three strengthening strips in the middle.

Meanwhile, I responded:

The 3-ton canvas is just a rectangular piece of canvas. The ends fold over to close the ends. If you have the dimensions any sail maker can make one for you.

Some have a second row with eyelets so you can fold the lower ends of the canvas when the bows are in the lowered position.

Canada carrier over that hi/lo system of tarpaulin with the M135 Deuce of the 50s. It was not featured on the US trucks...just Canadian.

I ordered a 22 foot by 16 foot canvas from Chicago canvas by contacting them off of Ebay as they did not list that size. I had to add extra grommets down the side to match the tie downs and used a black stretch rope for the tie downs.

the shipping was free in the lower 48 but this one I had mailed to me and the shipping was pretty reasonable, as I recall this was 5 years ago and it was about $225 usd plus shipping.

hight

I'm 6'2" and i set the hoops at a hight that i can walk down the center without scraping any hair of off by head, I like to keep what little I have up there. The original dimensions are listed in the parts manual, there were a lot of different ones but most are rectangular like the drawing above.
you might notice my roof is flat as I added a roof onto of the hoops using 1/2 plywood with 1/4 across the crown to fold over the peak. I painted it all white with a mold and mildew resistant bathroom paint, then added a layer of the bubble insulation to provide some softness then a white plastic tarp over it all to provide a brighter interior. then some extra insulation as padding on the corners and the canvas overtop. My wife says it's my alternate accomadation should i not obtain forgiveness one of these times. :fry:
