Bren Carrier Rifle Mount
 

Gentlemen: Came across this the other night, hidden in amongst a lot of unrelated stuff. Check out "Collectors Source" in the Toronto area. Go to the category of "Militaria" and go to page 11. There is a "very rare" rifle mount bracket for a Bren Gun Carrier listed for sale here. I just describe it as I see it.....so don't shoot the messenger.

If I recall, it was originally sold at an Ontario auction of full autos.

It is a nice piece, but not sure it is $400 nice. I believe the market may agree with me as it has been for sale there for about 2 or 3 years now. But there are those with more money than time, so no doubt it will eventually go.

I would suggest their listing is a little wrong. This mounts in the front gunners compartment. It fits on an adapter plate that doubles as the center hole cover. It takes the Bren gun butt, when the Bren gun is stowed beside the gunners right knee. The muzzle end clip is at the right side of the gun slot. There is no spring clip, but a bracket with a leather / rubber strap.
