London Air Show

On again this year! June 27/28/29 at the London airport. See http://www.londonairshow.com/ for details and directions.

Our London crew will be there in static display, with two, possibly three carriers, and AFAIK, at least two CMPs. I'll keep you posted as time goes on.

Anyone here going to the London Air Show? There are two carriers (Stewart's & Perry's) already parked out there, with the display opening at 0900 tomorrow. Hopefully there are two local CMPs coming as well, but we haven't got confirmation yet (as of last night). We'll be out there all day, Saturday and Sunday.

Hopefully see you there!

Well, there was no WW2 stuff there, and the flying portion was pretty tame, but it was an OK show. There was a B-52, a B-1 and the usual bevy of pointy-type aeroplanes on static display, but the interesting ones were the A-10s from the 103rd Pennsylvania Air National Guard; these guys did time in both Afghanistan and Iraq, were shit-hot and knew it! Pretty cool stuff.

We had two carriers out, Stewart's and Perry Kitson's, along with one of my mannequins and a few dewats. They attracted a LOT of attention from young and old alike, and we spent most of each day talking to people pretty much non-stop. I suspect we'll see a few of them here in a short while... :)

Here's a pic courtesy of an acquaintance of mine, Andrew Jaremko; Stewart's Mk.II* is in the foreground:
