CMP CAB#13 parts

Hey guys! I’m a newbie when it comes to CMP’s but I recently purchased a C15A

I’m from Ontario Canada, I’m now trying to hunt down some cab parts like doors, doghouse etc.. Is there anyone out there that can steer me in the right direction for some decent used parts?

I quickly figured out these are much more rare than my M37’s so I would greatly appreciate any help at all. I’m a serious buyer.

Thanks in advance! :)

They are likely too large....run them on photo editor to under 1600 pixels in length or 1.5mb in size.

David,
The email I sent you is going to you blindly through the MLU Personal Messages system : I do not know your actual email since is it protected by MLU. You need to respond to me. Then I can send you my list as an attachment to an email. All of this allows users of the Forum to keep spammers at bay and not openly reveal there email address for robots to harvest.

Finally back from working in China!

Hey guys sorry for the long silent period.
I’m hoping someone can tell me whether or not the front bumpers are the same on Chev and ford CMP’s with #13 cab??
Thanks in advance!

Bob Carriere 28-04-19 16:26

Some slight differences......

You are working on a C15a Chev....... you can buy a brand new piece of 5 inch C channelCORRECTION 6 INCH .....identical to original CMP bumper......have it cut to size and drill your own hole.

Do you have a chewed up bumper to copy from or is it missing completely??
Do you have the radiator guard.....?

Don't think we have seen your beast photograph yet.

Make a detailed list of what you are looking for..... a lot of us have spares.

Fair weather is just around the corner......don't dare say Spring is here has we had some snow flakes coming down yesterday.

Are you aware of the Lindsay and Sterling auto flea market this coming weekend.

Good luck

Nice looking vehicle, David.

Is there a small, squarish metal patch top, right rear of the cab, to the right of the rear window? If so, you may have a cab and chassis assembly from a Wireless Truck.

David

Thanks David, Yes you are correct, the ID tag says the model is a C15A-WIRE-5. I’m not clear on the primary purpose for a wire truck though!😊
I am very pleased with the condition, spent most of its life in a airplane hanger in Winnipeg. It’s been robbed of a few parts though so I’m looking for:
Complete front bumper with the rad guard.
Complete doghouse
Rear window trim piece.
So if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

For your engine cover - how are your sheet metal skills?
Phil Waterman has been kind enough to post drawings of the Cab 13 Chevrolet engine cover at https://www.canadianmilitarypattern....20Drawings.htm

Hi David.

Welcome to the CMP club. There are a few of us working on C15a’s in the area.

This is Robert Bergeron’s Wire-5 truck. Wire is just short form for wireless.

David Johnston 29-04-19 01:29

Thanks Grant,Jordan and all who are filling in the blanks for me.😊
Great stuff! Anyone with a bumper, rad guard and rear window trim I will gladly buy them knowing it would be more of a huge favor rather than a money thing.
Thanks All!

Barry Churcher 29-04-19 01:59

David, I should have bumper, engine cover and rad guard. Send me a PM and I can have a look.
Cheers,
Barry

Is this the window trim you're looking for?

This is on the roof that got hit by a tree - the piece is a little twisted and there is some rust, but could probably be straightened and used.

It's yours if you want it, but you'll probably have to drill out the screws.

I'm in Fort Erie.
