Attached are some pictures taken last saterday. This years Race to the (Arnhem) bridge started dry, put soon turned into rain.....
A very rare 10cwt trailer showed up! and a CDLV 242 Canadian Jeep....the owner told me he bought it in the UK in 1976, but only a few seem to understand what was so different between this jeep and all the others! |

Awesome to see an actual Clark airborne dozer on display on the grounds of the Airborne museum in Oosterbeek!

Very close to the old house of Kate ter Horst and the old Church, there was a Dressing station display at the Concertzaal in Oosterbeek. Maybe not everyones cup of tea, but to me it seemed quite realistic. Sadly, it was pooring with rain at the time, so I wasn't able to take any pictures of the Carrier and jeep that were parked outside.

Something maybe not everyone knows about is the Glider collection at the campsite in Wolfheze. It's a permament display with everything glider.....part of a Horsa fuselage, Horsa cockpit, Waco being rebuilt, Hamilcar cockpit and all sorts of other material relating to the gliders that landed around Wolfheze.
The collection is open usually one weekend each month and a visit is free of charge. Well worth a visit if you are in the area! Alex http://www.wolfheze.nl/_Glider/glidermain.htm |
Great photos Alex, thanks for posting!
Jaap's C15 is very nice. But if I buy another one, I shall be tarred and feathered. :giveup Owen. |
