Tripod and holders

For my MkII* Carrier I am looking for the Bren tripod and the holders CTL 918 SA and C31UCW-104370. If anyone has something please let me know! Sizes and drawings for reproduction would also be appreciated! Thanks!

Frank it might be worthwhile contacting Stefan at LWD in Broek op Langedijke. Dirk shipped a bunch of tripods from here a few years ago. Maybe some are as yet unsold.
Groeten,
Barry

Hello Gents, are we talking about the small clamps that secure the Tripod legs to the engine cover? I don't have access to a parts list right now to check the number.

If so, I need one more of these, does LWD parts still hold them?

Hi Tom, I was at LWD on Tuesday and he only had the tripod. I asked for the clamps but no luck... Also asked for all other weopon clamps and brackets, he had none... Will also keep looking! Frank

Thank you Frank.

If you're looking for dimensions I can send you some pictures and dimensions of the bracket I have. It doesn't loo too hard to fabricate.

Understand Tom and Frank are (unknowingly) talking about two different BREN tripod mounting brackets. The MK-I* and MK-II* parts are not interchangeable whatsoever.

Yes, that is the MK-I/MK-I* style that attaches to the lower engine rail. Lovely condition, only missing the original two felts where the glue has dried out and the felt dropped away. An easy fix. Nice to see the Thackery (sp?) double coil spring washer in place with the correct wingnut. What is the correct term for that nut? An easy way to derail the thread with a few synonyms and antonyms .... butterfly nut, ...

Frank Spiering 02-04-20 22:12

Thanks Michael for clearing that up!
