I thought I'd try here to find a few pieces I'm looking for. I'm hoping someone might have them in their spares box...???

First is a u-shaped metal strip used to edge the sliding glass windows on Chev HUP/HUW trucks. It is 13" long for 1/4" thick glass and was probably a common item in the day. Looking for one. See first pic.

Second, I need two twist fasteners like the one in pic 2. Maybe called a 'druz' and are still used. Shaft diameter is 5/16" (and as long as possible, I expect I will have to lengthen them regardless) with 1-1/8" butterfly wings.

the fasteners are commonly used in aircraft applications. find a supplier of aircraft parts and you will probably find the fasteners.

The only one of the companies above that I have dealt with is Aircraft Spruce - I found it a good experience.

The fasteners are also used on R and S series Bedfords to secure the internal engine covers. I think that I have a few if you can't find any closer to home.

They are also used on D series Fords to hold the covers on the front of the cab over the brake and clutch master cylinders.
