A suggestion

Please forgive my ignorance but would it not be better to have an armour event at a location such a Puckapunyal, Victoria or similar.

Combine the RAAC Tank museum, private vehicles and the ADFs current armoured vehicles and all of a sudden you have a significant collection of armoured vehicles all in one place. They would have plenty of space to drive around.

I may be wrong but it makes sense to me.

Tommy, without wanting to sound like an official response and standing too far inside the circle, it would be doubtful that Defence would open up an establishment for this type of venue. I probably could go into various details why, but I won't.

There was a private proposal to hold an Armoured Vehicle meet on a property near Seymour some years ago, but I understand it never went ahead due to lack of interest. :confused

Trick is, corowa is the Annual GPA swim in primarily. Ball park not only offers accommodation for participants, but easy access to the river as well.

It so happens that this years theme is tracked vehicles.

As for defence opening their establishments for a private event, chances of that are buckleys and none, especially live firing ranges.

Maybe the feelers should be put out again? Will have to see how successful Corowa 08 is.
I for one would be interested in a Seymour Tankfest. :kangaroo
