Canadian Leather Jerkin

It is a nice Leather Jerkin, but it is not Canadian manufacture.

History lesson....

Thanks Ed for your comment. I am no expert in this field, so could you tell me how you can tell the difference between Canadian and non Canadian "jerkins".
Cheers....Robert

Canadian made ones had black wool linings in them. The leather also tended to be a darker chocolate brown colour. The British ones had a khaki green wool liner and were thinner.

There is currently one up for sale on Facebook in a group page that is Canadian made.

:cheers:Many thanks Jordan. Learned something new today. Robert

Thanks for the replies. The British manufactured jerkin is located in Breda. I live ten miles away from Breda so too bad it isn't a Canadian one.

@Jordan, is the seller in the Facebook group connected with you as I don't have Facebook?

Leather Jerkins

The Canadians used British manufactured leather Jerkins just as much, perhaps even more, then Canadian made ones.
