You have a portion of a no9 dial sight as used on various commonwealth artillery pieces for indirect fire. This sight came into production around 1942 and replaces the earlier no7 dial sight. It is commonly found on the 25 pounder guns. Yours is made in Canada by Research Enterprises Limited, a Cdn government wartime corporation that primarily made optics as well as radar.
