Identification numbers

I am restoring a CMP F30 the vehicle was given to the Dunedin New Zealand Fire Brigade in 1950 as a war assets disposal. The cab was in such poor condition that it was rebuilt locally hence the normal slope windows. In the rebuild the id tags went I can't find any numbers on the chssis but the frame that holds the dash has B9272 stamped on the top left side, seems a prety low number can any one assit in identifying the year or perhaps place of manufactur, any info appreciated. Photos as a hoselayer fire engine and as found after 12 years outside in a paddock. Steven

Neat Crew Cab
Hi Steve
Enjoyed the pictures, particularly the last one of the crew cab, would be great with the kids in the back seats. Can only take the grand kids out in the HUP because the other trucks don't have backs seats. I've always enjoyed the pictures of CMPs in their post war lives where many live on giving many many years of service. Cheers Phil |
Fire engine
Yes would love to got my hands on the crew cab. Apparently it went over to the Chatham Islands years ago , probably rusted away given the location. Steven

Hi Steven, look after your r.h. mirror. That's the real deal.
