Wheels Id please
4 Attachment(s)
Hello all.
I came across the wheels in the attached photos a couple of weeks ago and now have them home. I had assumed they were Aussie LP2 wheels until I cleaned off the dirt and discovered CANADA embossed in the rubber. Which is really odd considering that we made so much carrier stuff in Oz. Would someone identify the wheels please from the markings? Are they road wheels or idler wheels? I am assuming they are from Bren/Universal carrier and not something exotic such as Vickers Light Tank? Rim dimension is 17", rim width is 3". Marking says DIA 20 - something. Thanks Doug |
A standard Ford of Canada produced Universal Carrier bogie wheel... 1942 production. Interchangeable between Canadian production MK-I* and all other Canadian produced carriers except the second model of Windsor Carrier.

Doug, I've had a NOS one on eBay for a month for $150 with not a lot of interest. I have 3 NOS wheels.

Thanks for the info. To me your price seems quite good. Perhaps there is just nobody at the moment who wants wheels. Regards Doug Quote:
