Z5668252 has hull s/n 1147. According to Wheels & Tracks magazine No.35, p.51, this C15TA was acquired from a Dutch scrapyard in 1984. Parts were obtained from many sources, as it happened even from Malaysia. Restoration was completed by 1989, when it was driven to Normandy on it's first outing where it was pictured by Dirk Leegwater - see C15TA survivors.

As advertised on KTR's mailing list (translated by me):
Quote:

GM Canada C15TA APC 1945, armoured vehicle, complete with canvas, professionally restored and in museum condition. Very unique vehicle!

Ford Canada V8 Model F15A 15cwt truck 1940, unique model, early, narrow cab. Professionally restored and in museum condition.

Contact H.L. de Vrij, Leeuwarden

or Marcel de Vrij 06-51938346
I know both trucks once resided in the UK, the C15TA is ex-Geoffrey Maskell´s CZ4287885.

No connection with the seller, just like to see these CMP´s end up at a good home.

If you are going to pursue any of these vehicles, please let the sellers know you saw them here.

Ex Tony Sudds ?

Hanno

If that is the ex Tony Sudds truck ex UK then it’s unique because it has a factory fitted Ford front axel and a GM rear. I think there was a small batch of fewer than 100 so fitted as a result of shipping losses in the N Atlantic around Dec 1940 if memory is correct

I can't tell, Pete. Maybe you recognise the UK registration number FSU640? I can tell you it is priced as a unique vehicle.

My early 13-cab Ford had the same. Bizarre.

Turns out his C15 was sold by its owner, Jan Roelse, to Guy Gilis in Belgium, and was then sold on to Mr Raab in the Czech Republic.
