combat rim with a 6 stud pattern 10.50 x 18" Located at Tumut I'm not familiar with this size & stud pattern- any idea? |
They are Australian trailer rims, I have a WW2 4 wheel workshop trailer that has this size rim and a water trailer that is the same except that it is narrower, I think the Wiles 4 wheel cooker has the narrow rim as well. I have a big 2 wheel trailer that I have no idea what its purpose was originally and it has the wide rims.
The 6 stud pattern is British 6 stud as far as I can work out, it is the same as some Fordson truck rims I have. It is definitely not American 6 stud. I tried to fit some 12.5/80-18 back hoe tyres to the wide rims but they were just to wide. |

Looks not too dissimilar to the wheel on this WW2 International:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Internati...3D182093427922 The two sellers are not too far apart, and the truck has a mismatched rim on the front right! |
Rear body
Hi Tony,
Out of curiosity what would the body have been on the rear? The truck looks like it might have had a different back which has been removed and replaced with the tray. Regards, |
