Napa parts number for points

Hi Jason

Believe these are the ones you want MPE CS763SB you can check the list of what it fits at http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...3SB_0132085812 just hit Buyers Guide.

Sorry I can not seem to get into the Canadian NAPA web site or I would check there, does anybody have the URL for the Canadian NAPA site?

Cheers Phil

Canadian NAPA site

Like an unfortunately/disgustingly large number of transborder companies, I find the Canadian NAPA site less useful than the US one. For example I just got several of these http://www.napacanada.com/error.html...s/Accueil.aspx
Searching the USA site for 1946 Chevrolet Automobile Points gives
http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Re...=1&Ntk=Keyword
With that, perhaps the Canadian store can figure out whether they can get you the points (Echlin CS779A).

Oh crap

Oh Crap that was universal joints not universal points....Oh man do i feel stupid now....lol

The whole point of this is......

The YOU - joints are stock items in most large truck repair centers..... just bring in the old one for them to match.....size matters you know !!!!

I walking at Malmberg Truck centre in Ottawa with a short drive shaft and before I could tell the guy at the counter ...oh GM XXXX he just called out the numbers..... How many do you need......? do you want them installed.... $10 buck each...

IF you have trouble finding the numbers I will drop buy and see what they are.... about $25 each brand new HD with greae fittings.

Grant did we save any of the boxes with the ## on it...?

I used Spicer 5-178X crosses.
If you need the u-bolts that hold one end of the short transmission to transfer case shaft, I found those as 3-94-18X, from Quality Gear.

Hey Guys thanks a million, off to auto machinery in the am to get em,Truck is coming along great,Have all the brake lines both rummer and steel and the fuel lines all replaced, all new wheel cylinders and mastercylinder rebuild,Picked up a rebuild Carb and a seat frame and installed two new windshields.
I have yet to find a place to rebond or replace the brake shoes and get one gas tank cleaned.
Hoping to try to get it out of the garage under its own power in the nex two months... if all goes right.

Bob, would still like to see those photos of the emergancy brake assy when you get a chance.
The fun part will start in the spring when i try to start rebuilding the radio box...going to be a small fortune in aluminum rivits and steel.
